FAIRFIELD — A two-car or truck crash Wednesday morning on U.S. Route 201 in close proximity to the Fantastic Will-Hinckley college resulted in slight injuries to the motorists concerned, law enforcement said.

One of the drivers explained to law enforcement he fell asleep at the wheel, resulting in the crash. The Fairfield Police Division acquired a connect with about the crash about 9:44 a.m.  

The two automobiles were being traveling north on the point out route, in accordance to Fairfield law enforcement Officer Casey Dugas. The to start with motor vehicle slowed down to make a remaining change, and was strike from guiding by the second vehicle. The second motor vehicle then veered off the street and into the woods off Route 201.  

Cody Hawthorne was driving the 2nd motor vehicle and claimed that he had just finished a change at function and was on his way home when he dozed off, according to Dugas. 

Both motorists experienced small accidents adhering to the crash, Dugas claimed. Hawthorne’s car or truck appeared to have substantial problems, and whilst a towing company had to eliminate a number of trees to connect the hook to the motor vehicle, they had been able to retrieve the motor vehicle.
